Trainer Bios

Chuck Meeker, Ph.D., Esq.

Chuck’s doctoral education and training in molecular biology and biochemistry was the driving force behind his decision to become a lawyer. In his legal practice, Chuck has focused on helping others navigate the laws and regulations that relate to biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other life sciences. Over the past 12 years, Chuck has successfully developed and implemented unique strategies for FDA compliance, as well as IP/patent procurement and protection in the U.S. and abroad. Chuck has developed a passion for regenerative medicine in his personal life as he has experienced its benefits first-hand. Hyagen Medical is the realization of Chuck's dream to make quality regenerative medicine and treatments more accessible to patients and providers. Hyagen Medical represents the perfect combination of Chuck's love for science and medicine and his passion for the law. At Hyagen Medical, as Founder and President, Chuck oversees the vetting and quality assurance of each product that we supply to our clinical partners. He also provides essential training and consulting to clinics and providers, empowering them with the latest legal and regulatory compliance strategies; ensuring they can adhere to state and federal laws.

Haven McCall, Ph.D.

Dr. Haven McCall is a recognized leader in biologics, regenerative medicine, and regulatory science with more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical research, product development, laboratory operations, and scientific consulting. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Sky Bio Labs, a state-of-the-art biotechnology company specializing in stem cell–based biologics, advanced therapies, and analytical testing. He serves on the Board of Directors for BioUtah and teaches graduate courses in regenerative medicine, compliance, and regulatory affairs at Johns Hopkins University, where he also developed the Microcredential in Regulatory Affairs Certificate Program. Dr. McCall earned his Doctorate and Master of Science from the University of Southern California, where his research focused on improving standards of care through quality and risk-based approaches. With more than 25 years of leadership in laboratory science, FDA regulation, and research, he is a respected educator, author, and advocate for advancing innovation in the life sciences.

Celeste Hicken, FNP-BC

Celeste Hicken is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Inspire Medical Spa in South Jordan, Utah. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Business and Nursing from Westminster College and completed her advanced nursing degree at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Celeste began performing cosmetic injections in 2015 and completed a neurology internship injecting Botox for migraines and dystonia. Her early work included research in plasma and growth factor therapies for joint repair and hair restoration, laying the foundation for her passion in regenerative medicine. In 2020, she transitioned full-time into aesthetic and regenerative medicine, focusing on the intersection of art, science, and patient confidence. Her clinical expertise includes stem cell and PRF applications for joint injections, scalp restoration, and facial rejuvenation through subsicion and regenerative fillers. Celeste is passionate about helping patients heal from within—enhancing both function and beauty through evidence-based regenerative medicine. Celeste is a National Trainer for:

Toby Anderton, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Toby Anderton is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS). He provides comprehensive orthopedic care with a focus on advanced reconstructive procedures, minimally invasive joint replacement, and sports medicine.
With over a decade of surgical experience, Dr. Anderton combines precision surgical technique with a deep commitment to optimizing patient recovery. He is recognized for his expertise in total joint arthroplasty, arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, and the anterior approach to hip replacement. Dr. Anderton’s practice emphasizes stem cell and biologic support for tissue recovery and
repair, integrating regenerative medicine principles into orthopedic treatment. He
advocates for evidence-based use of biologic augmentation to enhance healing, reduce downtime, and support long-term joint health.
This biologic approach reflects his broader commitment to restorative, whole-patient
care—helping patients return not only to function but to strength, activity, and confidence. Dr. Anderton previously served as Chief of Staff at North Canyon Medical Center, where he led multidisciplinary teams in improving surgical quality and patient outcomes. He currently serves as Medical Director of Twin Falls Clinic, guiding the continued development of advanced orthopedic services in Southern Idaho. Dr. Anderton also serves on the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board for Hyagen Medical.

Chad Johnson, DO

Located in Twin Falls, Idaho, Chad Johnson, DO, is a highly skilled specialist in primary care sports medicine. Dr. Johnson’s expertise lies in non-operative musculoskeletal care, focusing on helping i njured athletes return to their sport and managing various musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate studies in medical microbiology and immunology at Brigham Young University – Idaho. He then attended Touro University for his medical degree, followed by an internship at Rapid City Regional Family Medicine Residency and a residency in family medicine at Idaho State University. Additionally, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Utah Valley Sports Medicine, where he worked closely with both Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University athletics. Dr. Johnson is well-versed in medical management of acute injuries, overuse injuries, injury prevention, and sports-related concussion. He is also skilled in conservative management of osteoarthritis, including injection therapies and regenerative medicine. Furthermore, he has expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and has taught nationally on this topic.

Prof. Robert S. Kellar, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert Kellar is a Professor at Northern Arizona University in the Center for Materials Interfaces in Research Applications (¡MIRA!), Biological Sciences, and Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kellar received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 2001 and has over 24 years of experience in the development and regulatory approval of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biologics, including cell-based products and regenerative medicine and tissue engineered technology. He serves as the CEO for Development Engineering Sciences, CEO for KMP Global, the Chief Development Officer for NEXT Life Sciences, and the President and Chief Science Officer of Cellcura Sciences, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Leonhardt Ventures, the Board of Directors for Protein Genomics, the Scientific Advisory Board for Aesthetics Biomedical, and the Advisory Board for the California Stock Exchange. Dr. Kellar has helped to co-found a number of companies including Development Engineering Sciences, a biomedical consulting firm; Protein Genomics, a protein polymer company; Flagship Biosciences, a digital pathology company; Elevated Manufacturing, a contract manufacturer; KMP Global, a technology holding company. Dr. Kellar’s previous roles include: Founding Chief Science Officer of Axolotl Biologix (Exited to the public market in 2023), Past-President of the Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation, VP of Research and Development at Histogen, Inc. in San Diego, CA, Product Specialist at W.L. Gore and Associates in Flagstaff, AZ, and Lead Scientist and Project Manager at Advanced Tissue Sciences, Inc. in La Jolla, CA.
